Murmur Records

Murmur Records is the record label of Murmur Institute – a small, genre-defying imprint for music and sound art. We release music that was first written for something else: a film, a dance performance, a place. On the record it gets a life of its own, and every title carries its origin with it, in brackets.

Each release comes out as a limited-edition CD in a digipak with a booklet of photographs and texts, and as a high-resolution digital album on Bandcamp. The catalogue numbers are simple: MRM, the number of the release and the year it came out – MRM.01.26 is our first release, from 2026.
